Fly domestic from Entebbe with comfortable transfers to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through scenic remote villages for an insight into a typical Ugandan rural lifestyle. At Bwindi track the endangered mountain gorillas and visit the Batwa; proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for active adventures; nature walks, canoe rides and adrenaline experiences.

Have breakfast at the hotel earlier and check-out. Be picked up for a City Tour at 08:00AM. Kampala City Tour – Half Day: You will explore cultural and historical landmarks together with an impressive lifestyle of Ugandans.
The day’s tour highlights include: Nakasero market: Established in 1895 moving to its current location in 1905. Temples such as Shree Swaminarayan Mandir and Bahai Temple. It continues to Kabaka’s (king’s) palace; with Idd Amin torture chambers and sightseeing Buganda clan monuments. You will as well tour Gadhafi National Mosque for an insight into a Ugandan Islamic culture with a 360 degree birds’ eye view of Kampala City. Lastly at Uganda National Museum; oldest in East Africa, established by the British in 1908 to its current location in 1954.
After the tour proceed to have lunch at Restaurant. Then off to Lake Victoria Serena.

From 04:00 PM, go for a Sundowner – Lake Victoria Serena Marina Experience
Set out for a magical, 2-hour sundowner cruise as the sun’s final rays set on the shimmering waters of Lake Victoria. Marvel at the beautiful scenery surrounding the lake and enjoy the sublime tranquillity of your natural surrounds, passing local fisherman who are casting their final nets of the day as your boat makes its way to the equator line on a flourishing island. Lake Victoria is the most enormous tropical lake in the world and the greatest fresh water lake in the whole of Africa; the continent’s largest – same as Ireland. What to expect: Lutembe Channel for bird watching, visit Paradise Island (Idd Amin’s Island), Visit Equator Island, and sighting fishing villages. You will sample a couple of drinks including locally brewed brands.
Return to the resort later after this experience and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Early breakfast at the hotel, and at 08:00AM board and transfer to Entebbe Eco City. On arrival head to Nakiwogo dock and embark onto a boat to Mabamba Ramsar Site.
Mabamba Swamp is the best place to search for the rare Shoebill stork. The wetland, accessed by a canoe ride is located on the North West of Entebbe Peninsular, along the edge of Lake Victoria, the wetland is a sanctuary for over 260 bird species. This popular Ramsar Site, got its name from the local fishermen due to a huge quantity of lungfish “Mamba”, most sought after fish by fishermen as well as a favourite food for the shoebill. After birding return to Entebbe and have lunch at a restaurant.
After lunch visit Entebbe Botanical Gardens: This eco-zone was established in 1898 on the northern shores of Lake Victoria and it protects a variety of tree species which have been in existence for hundreds of years. This place is a collection of species of plants of the tropical, sub-tropical and temperate zones, besides several shrubs and other plants which have regenerated naturally over the years, with over 309 species, 199 indigenous to Uganda, 122 medicinal species and 110 exotics. Thereafter, transfer to the hotel.
Check-in and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Enjoy the hotel’s amenities with access to either Swimming pool or spa for massage – subject to availability.

Have an early breakfast and leave for the airport at 5:45 am. Arrive and check in for a domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (check-in opens at 06:00am).
Upon landing at Kisoro Airstrip (depends on location for which gorilla permits have been secured – thus subject to change), be welcomed by another crew member waiting to transfer you to the lodge. Travel time can be anything from 60-90 minutes’ drive; depending on the lodge and sector for which permits were secured. Get to the lodge, check-in to recuperate and have lunch plus refreshment.
Planned activities: Buniga Batwa trail and Top of the World sundowner experience. Buniga Batwa Cultural Trail – this 3 hour trail exhibits a mutual relationship between the Batwa and the jungle before their expulsion in the process of converting this forest into a protected reserve. In a bid to promote their unique heritage and traditions; the Batwa will walk you through their small pocket forests, showcasing a nomadic culture during their occupation of the rain forest. Approach the Batwa settlement and observe how the women go about cooking and serving a traditional meal. Continue to visit herbalists so as to explore the various herbs plus medicinal significance, and listening to ancient legends alongside traditional songs. You will as well explore their lifestyle (from religion to food gathering, hunting skills, and creating fire from rubbing sticks). Additionally; walk across a rich biodiversity composed of indigenous plant species (with medicinal benefits) such as the Giant lobelias, tree ferns, and Syzygium, with over 100 bird species with mammals such as Duikers, B/W colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys.
Have a sundower at Nkuringo’s Scenic Top of the World; several drinks and snacks will be served as you experience a golden sunset across the tropical rainforest.
Return to the lodge late evening to refresh for dinner at leisure.

After an early breakfast you will be handed a lunchbox and mineral water to put in your backpack, then proceed to the park office. Upon completing your park formalities, you will embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking Uganda’s mountain gorillas.
Once you meet the gorillas on a tracking adventure, you are allowed between 1 to 2 hours watching and photographing them. This is perhaps one of the most breath-taking primate experience on earth!!! You stare at each other blankly not knowing who to break the long silence first. These massive primates are extremely rare, with less than 1000 living today, but you will get within meters with the gorillas photographing and observing their unique character. Gorilla tracking is fairly strenuous experience which takes between 1 to 2 hours at a relatively high altitude. The chances of seeing the gorillas are at 99%; so this is a guaranteed primate experience. Your ranger guide will identify a safe and scenic spot where you can settle for a picnic lunch after which you will proceed with the Trek or return to the lodge. (Subject to change).
Return to the lodge after the trek and stay at leisure. Spend this time enjoying the lodge’s soothing Mist Spa Massages. Dinner at the lodge in a serene atmosphere.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: Located in south-western Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest. It is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting opportunities. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys and steep ridges. This untouched forest has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its breath-taking natural beauty and unique ecological significance. Aside from the amazing gorilla interactions, there are other draw cards such as a network of forest walks, over 340 bird species and several butterflies.
