Yes. Tanzania is a safe country. Incidents with wildlife are extremely rare on safaris. So, as long as you follow the rules and guidelines set out by park staff and your guide you will be safe.
The dry season of June to October is the Best Time For Tanzania Safari.
There is no set price for a safari in Tanzania. The cost varies widely depending on several factors. Overall, the cost of a Tanzania Safari can start from a minimum of 300$ and can range up to 1500$ depending upon your itinerary and accommodations.
Tanzania is larger and offers more affordable safaris than Kenya. However, Kenya has better travel infrastructure. But nothing can beat the Serengeti wildebeest migration.
You need at least four days to enjoy what Serengeti Park has to offer. The Serengeti national park is huge. So, four days will give you eight-game drives. Which will be sufficient to cover a large portion of the Park and view a large variety of wildlife.
Yes, you can! We allow self-drive safaris into the Serengeti but only with a Land Cruiser.
August to September is the best time to witness wildebeest river crossings in northern Serengeti. After the ‘short rains’ fall in November and December, the migration moves from Kenya's Maasai Mara down through the eastern side of Tanzania's Serengeti. The months of August, September, and October are the best time to see the great wildebeest migration in Masai Mara. After the long rains in April- May, the migration starts moving from the depleted southern plains north to the long grass plains in the western corridor.
