About Us

Ann founded Gazelle Safaris Africa in August 2011 and officially registered it in July, 2014. Her love story with Tourism began as a university student in Makerere University while pursuing a Bachelor of Tourism degree which she later followed with a foundation Diploma in Travel and Tourism (IATA) and a Master’s Degree in Marketing. Annabel is in charge of the daily running of the company, marketing and product development. All this she does alongside her love for travel.

The ever smiling Brenda is one of our Directors and is in charge of quality and compliance. She ensures that all our products and services both outsourced and in-house meet the set quality standards. Her work takes her to lodges, hotels and tourist attraction inspections. She’s an outdoor goddess and has loves adventure.

Mathew is in charge of Customer Experience and digital platforms. As a member of our corporate division, he ensures customer satisfaction, which is very important to us. When Mathew isn’t working on the digital market space, he’s busy keeping smiles on the faces our clients as a city tour guide. His primary focus is building a deeper understanding of the needs of our clients, to help us deliver a service tailored around them. Armed with a long list of helpful additional services, Mathew is always on hand to make sure you get the most out of your experience with Gazelle Safari Company.

Laban graduated with a First-class Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management. He joined Gazelle Safari Company seeking a change of pace after gaining Tour-Guiding & Wildlife Management experience at Kavumba Wildlife Conservation Centre. He now designs and plans itineraries for our safari department while complementing his excellent tour guiding skills.
Laban’s background in communications influences his approach to tour guiding he knows how to adapt his communication style to accommodate people from all walks of life. Combined with his drive and ambition to succeed, Laban’s future at Gazelle Safari Company looks bright. Outside work, Laban enjoys doing art & design, listening to music & reading the Bible on a daily basis.

Hamidu brings a unique blend of skills and passions to our team. He holds a diploma in computer science and information technology from Makerere University, Since 2018, he has been an invaluable member of our team at Gazelle Safari Company, where he excels in his role as a IT Personnel. Beyond his professional pursuits, Hamidu thrives on researching the unknown. He also finds joy in cooking, relaxing by the sandy beaches, watching television and visiting friends.

Solome holds a Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management from Makerere University Business School. Her education experience further expands to pursuing a Foundation in Travel and Tourism (IATA) plus a Certificate in Galileo and Amadeus. As a junior Travel Consultant at Gazelle Safari Company, she is in-charge of airline reservations and ticketing. Working towards being efficient and making all customers feel first-class is what she strives for in her daily tasks. As a lover of literature, Solome enjoys reading in her free time and listening to music.

Maria is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Finance at Makerere University Business School and currently studying to become a Certified Public Accountant. Driven by her love of numbers, she has 5 years of work experience in the accounting field. As an accountant at Gazelle, she is in charge of filing tax returns and general bookkeeping. Away from her desk, she loves to relax and take leisure walks by the beach in the company of friends and family.

Mercy works at Gazelle Safari Company as a Reservations Officer for the lodging facilities that the company manages. This role allows her to explore her passion for travel and customer relations at the same time. As part of her work, she is in charge of making bookings and arranging reservations for clients as well as checking the availability of accommodation during the clients' preferred travel dates. Mercy is a graduate of Bachelor's in Microfinance at Kyambogo University. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, meeting new people, dancing and traveling.

Martin is a multimedia journalist with a Diploma in Journalism and Mass communications. He joined Gazelle in 2022 and currently works as a Digital content manager and takes pride in creating interactive and educative content about Africa’s travel scene via the company's digital media platforms. Outside the office, he works as a sports journalist on the radio and also works as a part-time photographer. His love for sports always leads him to stadiums to either watch games or play soccer during his leisure time.

Sasha is a graduate of Business Statistics at Makerere University. Her passion for communication and marketing has seen her grow as an SEO copywriter and content creator. She has built skills in writing for digital marketing and social media marketing and likes to use her abilities to provide informative content. But never at the expense of making it enjoyable to read. You can catch her reading a book, learning a new skill like graphics design, or spending time with her family when she's not writing.

Ismail studied Mechanical Engineering in Kisubi technical institute and works at Gazelle Safari Company as a Safari Guide. With commendable experience of 15 years in the hospitality industry, Ismail’s enthusiasm for giving tourists unforgettable tour experiences only continues to grow. Away from his work station, Ismail dedicates his time to farming, especially in Coffee and Maize growing in his leisure time.
