This site also includes three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide of April 1994. There is also a children's memorial, and an exhibition on the history of genocidal violence around the world. The Education Centre, Memorial Gardens and National Documentation Centre of the Genocide all contribute to a meaningful tribute to those who perished, and form a powerful educational tool for the next generation. After here you will visit Mbyo Reconciliation Village. A place of solace where perpetrators and victims, murderers and survivors, Hutus and Tutsis, are now neighbors with 60 families on ground.
Spend time socializing with the dwellers, taste their traditional yummy dishes and drinks, get entertained from a local dance troupe that will introduce you to the different traditional dance styles. After a long day with the reconciliation community, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Kigali.

Today travel to Musanze District of Rwanda. Kimonyi Reconciliation Village, in the cells of Birira and Buramira a sector of Kimonyi in Musanze district is another home to the survivors of the April 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, former militias of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda and former convicts of Genocide crimes who have already served their sentences. This Reconciliation Village was put up in the year 2008 and it houses 188 households.

Enjoy cultural dances by the KIMONYI VILLAGE REDEMPTION DANCERS, a mixture of the "Hutu" and "Tutsi" who travel from village to village, sharing the good message of reconciliation, unity, hope, and peace through dances.
After here you will head to Iby’Iwacu cultural village; this visit will offer you a chance to meet and interact with the local people in their community, with a taste of Rwanda’s culture and traditions. In the morning after breakfast, you will depart for Gisenyi. This is well known as the biggest town of Rubavu district of Rwanda and the 5th largest town in Rwanda. It is situated in the country’s western province, bordering the north shore of Lake Kivu at the foot of the Virunga Mountains. Gisenyi offers visitors with a stunning sight of the mountain scenery and a cool temperate climate all year round, and it is home to pristine beaches, hiking/biking trails, boat cruises, fishing expeditions among others.

Early in the morning after breakfast, depart Gisenyi back to Kigali so as to check in for your home departure flight. This will mark the end of your tour through Rwanda.
