Journey time: 2 ½ hours to Musanze

1 ½ hour Musanze to your Lodge

Today travel to Musanze District of Rwanda. Upon arrival, you will head to Iby’Iwacu cultural village; this visit will offer you a chance to meet and interact with the local people in their community, with a taste of Rwanda’s culture and traditions. Enjoy displays of all aspects of Rwandese traditions, norms and beliefs as you share the heritage treasures including traditional lifestyles, activities, artefacts and their ways of living. While here enjoy:

• A guided community walk; see the king’s house


• The different types of traditional dances,


• Visit the traditional medicine man; get to know how medicinal trees, shrubs, grass are used to cure local patients.


• Attend a local banana brewery process and have a taste on local banana beer.


• Explore the Batwa pottery making experience, lessons and engagement

In the late afternoon, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Cyanika Boarder to Uganda. On arrival, check into your lodge and recuperate from the journey

After an early breakfast, head to park gate for briefing at exactly 8:00 am. You will join the great team of rangers and researchers in the process of creating yet another family of the most unique apes (Gorillas)
It is a very big opportunity to learn about the secret life of the great apes. Get to know how they are tamed to be man friendly and by the end of the Gorilla habituation experience, you will be recognized as part of the team in the efforts to create a friendly relationship between man and the world’s most elusive giant apes.
In the afternoon, you may choose to have;
The Batwa pygmy cultural trail, Community / Nature walk: You will get to know all the cultural details of the short men of the forest ranging from hunting, cultural dances & songs, herbal medicine knowledge, dressing to family setting and lineage.
It is a very interesting activity as you will have a chance to exchange cultural experiences with the local people of the forest.
