Rwanda being the world’s premier gorilla-tracking destination makes it even a more spectacular experience. Get ready to be blown away by the sight of a barrel –headed silverback, no taller by an average human being but thrice as bulky delicately shredding a succulent stick of Bamboo as it sits peacefully on the forest floor.

Tour Itinerary
Journey Time: 2 Hours
On arrival, you will be met by your guide at the Kigali Int. Airport. If it is a morning/ midmorning flight, enjoy your lunch in Kigali before your transfer the twin lakes; “Bulera & Ruhondo” located in Northern Rwanda at the base of Muhabura volcano & close to the border with Uganda. Surrounded by steep hills & large waterfalls with a backdrop of the Virunga volcanic mountains, the twin lakes are a great spot to be visit. In the past, they used to be referred to as neglected gems but today the two are not worth missing out on safari.
Separated only by a 1km strip of land; the breathtaking scenery from the surrounding mountains reveals that few people are given the chance to see the lakes in their lifetime. Their deep blue waters ringed by steep hills & tall waterfalls with the outlines of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes provide a spectacular backdrop.
Get to the view point then drive to Ruhengeri area the second largest town in Rwanda, with its stunning backdrop of five volcanic mountains (The Virungas), arriving for dinner & overnight at your hotel.

Journey Time: 15Min
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters – Kinigi to meet your guides for the day. The Gorilla Trek will commence after completing all park formalities and briefing.
Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience and perhaps one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences.
The Gorilla to can be tough so amole preparation is needed before taking part in this experience. Read about How to prepare for your Gorilla Safari
You will spend a maximum of one hour with the gorillas and thereafter start your trk back to the starting point.
Later return to your lodge for lunch.

Journey Time: 2 hours
After breakfast you will now embark on your journey to Kigali. Take a complementary city tour to visit interesting spots which may include; the craft market, Gisozi genocide memorial site & Kigali museum. Also engage in last minute shopping in one of the friendliest African capitals, before returning to the airport for your onward international flight back home.
