7 Days Okavango Delta Khwai And Chobe Safari Experience

In the early morning, we pick you up from your hotel, lodge, or airport in Maun. The tour starts at 07:30h with a 1-hour speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence. Depending on the dry season or other circumstances, we might drive you in a 4×4 vehicle. At the buffalo fence, you will meet your guide, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango.

Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our guides will show you their home, which they are very passionate and knowledgeable about. Our experienced guides take you on a journey deep into the water system. Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional one-tree canoe. At the camp on an island, our team awaits you with lunch.

After your meal, you can freshen up before your guide takes you on an afternoon nature walk, where we hope to see more animals and learn about the delta, its plants, animals, and the tribes living here. For dinner, we return to camp. In the evening, you can sit around the campfire, sharing the stories of the day.

Spend the whole day deep inside the Okavango. Explore the channels by Mokoro (traditional Dugout Canoe) and go on guided bushwalks and game walks with an experienced guide on the islands of the Okavango Delta. You’ll be woken up with a warm “Dumela” (Setswana = Hello) and a light breakfast waiting for you.

After coffee, tea, and breakfast, you’ll go on your first game viewing activity (either a nature walk or a canoe excursion). Upon returning to camp, you have the opportunity to shower. Afterwards, you’ll be served brunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a second game viewing activity.

Meals are cooked over the bushfire by our experienced bush chef, and in the evening, you can share the day’s experiences sitting around the campfire before falling asleep in your comfortable tent with the sounds of animals and the bush around you.

Make a transfer to Khwai where you will set out on a game drive in the park. This experience will bring you even closer to nature and give you the chance to discover more about the native plants and their traditional medical applications.

Meeting animals up close and personal in Chobe National Park is one of the most breathtaking safari experiences, and we guarantee you will have many of these encounters while you are there. This park boasts some of Africa's greatest wildlife densities.

After enjoying breakfast, we will head out for a morning game drive to Chobe National Park. After you rest in the afternoon, you can choose to go on a boat ride.

The pick-up time depends on your flight schedule. Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. You will then be transferred to O.R. Tambo Airport for your onward departure flight. We hope you had a memorable holiday and have a safe flight back home.
