About 5 Days Kasanka Bat Migration Safari
One of nature's most astounding shows is the bat migration in Zambia which is a must see! Besides the huge bat population, it is really the atmosphere surrounding this migration that really gets people excited: dramatic skies as the early summer rains approach, big birds like martial and crowned eagles swooping through the bats and taking them on the wing. This safari experience is truly once in a lifetime.

Tour Itinerary
Your tour guide will meet you at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport and transfer you to your area of accommodation. Once you check in, you can freshen up and relax for the rest of the evening as you charge up energy for the next day’s activities.
After an early breakfast, depart to Kasanka National Park which is almost an 8 hours journey. You will be arriving at Wasa Lodge in Kasanka National Park by late afternoon.
Upon arrival, you will check-in and prepare to spend the next three days amongst the glory of the bat migration.
Kasanka National Park is a small park compared to the rest in Zambia. It is well known for having the world's largest bat population and is situated on the edge of the Bangweulu wetlands.
Once at Kasanka National Park, you’ll go on a game drive in the afternoon. If there is time, you will move further to view birds and more wildlife.
After a delicious and filling breakfast, we embark on a day of exploring to Kasanka National Park. You can discover the private hides for the bats, photograph the Sitatunga in the best spots, as well as go on day trips to the Luwombwa region to see varied bird species like Pels Fishing Owl, Bohms Bee-Eater, and Ross's Turaco.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your charter flight to Lusaka where your tour comes to an end. We hope you have had the most memorable tour in Zambia.
