Upon arrival, you will meet out guide and depart for the Kalahari Desert which stretches across 7 countries, including Namibia, South Africa and Botswana.
In the afternoon you will enjoy a sundowner drive with the lodge to experience this magical place and spot some of the animals which live here, including several variety of antelope and zebra.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we depart for Sossusvlei, travelling from the small red dunes of the east to the towering dunes in the west. Our journey will take us through the Khomas Hochland and down the escarpment via a scenic mountain pass.
You will then arrive at the lodge where you can relax for the rest of the day.
After breakfast, depart to your accommodation in Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. Aside from the attractions at Sossusvlei like Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, Big Daddy and Deadvlei – other attractions in the area include the Sesriem Canyon and Namib-Naukluft National Park, where the mountains of the Namib meet its plains.
After breakfast depart to Swakopmund, en route make a stop at Solitaire for the best Apple pie in Africa and do not miss the photographic opportunity at the Tropic of Capricorn sign. In Walvis Bay visit the Lagoon before proceeding to your Guesthouse. In the evening, you can explore the beach on foot. For dinner, we recommend The Tug Restaurant (own account).
Overnight: Royal Sea Star Guesthouse
We spend the day exploring the beauty of Swakopmund, a picturesque seaside town known for its German colonial architecture, palm-lined streets, and its stunning beaches.
The town has a lot to offer, such as an excellent aquarium and museum. It is also possible to plan a variety of optional activities.
Departing from Swakopmund, head to Damaraland en route visit Twyfelfontein UNESCO heritage site, Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes (Park fees included). Dinner at your lodge included. Twyfelfontein is a spectacularly scenic area in Namibia featuring one of the largest and most important concentrations of rock art in Africa. The name ‘Twyfelfontein’ translates to ‘Fountain of Doubt’, which refers to the perennial spring situated in the impressive Huab Valley flanked by the slopes of a sandstone table mountain.
Overnight: Lodge Damaraland
After visiting the Twyfelfontein UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of Africa's greatest and most significant concentrations of rock art, we make our way to Palmwag. After settling in at the lodge, we will go on an afternoon tour of the desert with local guides from the Torra Conservancy.
Located in the northern Damaraland region is the Palmwag Concession. This region of the world is endowed with breathtaking beauty and table mountains. Numerous types of abundant wildlife can be found here including the endangered black rhino, mountain zebra, kudu, springbok, giraffe, lion, and elephants adapted to the desert.
After breakfast depart to Etosha en route optional Himba village visit N$/ZAR 300 per person payable at the village. Check in at your lodge and evening is spent at leisure. Visitors can catch a glimpse of a variety of wildlife including: lion, giraffe, elephant, white and black rhino, and a multitude of plains game. Popular activities include: enjoying an open 4x4 safari with an expert guide, half day or full day drives with the option of a picnic lunch with wine on the full day game drive.
Overnight: Toshari Lodge (Etosha Gateway)
At 07H00 depart for a full day game drive in Etosha National Park with your rented vehicle. Park Fees N$/ZAR 150 per person and N$/ZAR per vehicle payable at the gate not included. Dinner at your lodge included.
After a hearty breakfast, we will ser off for Okonjima Nature Reserve and the AfriCat Foundation. The AfriCat Foundation works towards long-term protection of some of Namibia's great predators, such as the cheetah, leopard, and brown hyena.
While here, you will have the opportunity to participate in an Africat Cheetah Conservation programme to gain additional knowledge about Okonjima's efforts to safeguard and educate farmers about the endangered cheetah population.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport for onward travels as your trip has come to an end. We hope you have had a memorable tour and have a safe flight back home.
