Here is an adventurous way to spend time in the Pearl of Africa. It is best suited for travellers who desire to see a lot but have limited time. Explore the stunning wildlife of Lake Mburo National Park in addition to a boat cruise. The salt lick in lake Mburo is a must see. Proceed to Bwindi & visit the rare mountain gorillas together with the Batwa people, crown it up with a brief Kigali City Tour prior to departure.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by our Driver guide who will transfer to your pre-booked hotel in either Kampala City/Entebbe.

Early in the morning (07:00AM) after breakfast start off your journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Make a quick stopover at the Equator for a photo moment.
Lake Mburo National Park is conveniently located close to the Kampala-Mbarara highway, with of wildlife in the middle of extensive rich acacia woodland. The park is home to 332 bird species including the rare African fin foot, papyrus gonolek, yellow warbler, saddle billed stork, brown chested wattle, plover among others.
Upon arrival, check-in and have lunch at the lodge.
In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in Mburo’s acacia woodland. Expect a variety of animals, mostly grazers such as Zebras, Roth’s child giraffe, Elephants, Elands, Wart Hogs, Topi, and Kob.
Spot rare bird species mainly water and swamp birds; Papyrus Gonolek, Yellow Warbler, Saddle-billed Stork, Cisticola, White-winged Warbler and many more. Proceed to the Salt licks and watch animals licking salty mud to supplement their diet.

After breakfast, you will burn some calories by taking a walking safari though Lake Mburo National Park. Walking Safaris have become very popular in this park especially because they allow tourists get closer to nature and explore even the small details. Walking instead of driving is also more environmentally friendly as it reduces carbon emission caused by cars.

Return to the Lodge for lunch.
After lunch, return to the Park for a boat cruise where you will see many more animals and water birds as many come down to water & cool off. Spot birds like the African fin foot, king fishers, fish eagle among others. You may also see some reptiles like monitor Lizards and crocodiles.
Return to the Lodge for Dinner.

On this day you will sleep in a bit and have breakfast at about 8am. We shall then set off at 9am starting our scenic road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have lunch en-route and proceed and upon arrival, check-in at your pre- booked lodge and spend the rest of your evening at leisure.
In the Late afternoon, venture out in the community in the company of your guide. This community tour will take you to the Batwa people of Bwindi Impenetrable forest. These were residents of the forests before the government decided to gazette the forests for tourism. See their unique ways of life, taste their food/ drinks, visit a traditional healer and also watch them put up an energetic music & dance performance- feel free to join them.

After an early breakfast, you will be handed a lunchbox and mineral water to put in your backpack. Head to the park headquarters for briefing which starts at exactly 8:00am. After briefing, Gorilla Tracking will commence. It is a very captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi. Gorilla Tracking starts at 8:30 am and can last from a few hours to a whole day based on the previous location of the gorillas.
During the trek, your ranger guide will identify a safe and scenic spot where you can settle for a picnic lunch after which you will proceed with the Trek. (Subject to change)

After a sumptuous breakfast, leave Bwindi for Kigali. This is another scenic journey.
Upon arrival, you will do a city tour of Kigali with a visit to Kigali genocide memorial. The site provided an opportunity for bereaved families to bury their loved ones. Over 250,000 victims are now buried at the site including three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide in 1994. There is also a children's memorial, and an exhibition on the history of genocide violence around the world.
After the tour, we shall transfer you to the airport to check in for your outbound flight.
