Overnight: Amalinda Lodge

After an early breakfast, set off for a game drive with an expert guide to Matobo National Park which is also known as Zimbabwe's first national park.

You will explore the national park and can take advantage of everything it has to offer. This region of Zimbabwe is one of the most popular travel destinations because of its thriving population of endangered black and white rhino, which you can track on foot. With 175 bird species, 88 animal species, 39 snake species, and 16 fish species, Matobo National Park boasts a wide biodiversity.

After a day of game viewing, travel back to the lodge to freshen up and have dinner.

After an early morning game drive, you will embark on a historical tour. Here, you can visit the graves of Mzilikazi, a Ndebele king and Cecil John Rhodes, two illustrious figures from the 19th century. Here, some 2,000 years ago, the San Bushmen carved their markings into the rocks and cavern walls.

You can also get the opportunity to learn about the history of Bulawayo and the Khami Ruins, which served as the capital of the Torwa Dynasty after the collapse of Great Zimbabwe.

Overnight: Amalinda Lodge

After breakfast, we head for Hwange National Park. At about 1pm is when you'll arrive at the Hwange Safari Lodge, just in time for lunch and then go on a late-afternoon wildlife drive.

Predators are rarely missed on afternoon drives since late afternoons are great times to search for them.

Overnight: Hwange Safari Lodge

After breakfast, you will go on a game drive in Hwange National Park also known as the largest national park in Zimbabwe. Hwange is home to all of Zimbabwe's particularly protected wildlife, including the Cape wild dog population, which is estimated to be one of the continent's largest living populations at the moment.

There are wonderful photo opportunities during morning and evening game drives of the famous Presidential elephant herd, as well as lion, leopard, cheetah, enormous buffalo herds, and other wildlife along with bird species, with the help of our expert guide. You also have the option of going nearby to visit the Painted Dog Conservation Centre.

With fewer tourists, Hwange's safari experience is comparable to that of the well-known East African parks, Masai Mara and Serengeti.

You'll enjoy another day in the park, only this time you'll be searching for your preferred bird or animal and ignoring the more common species. After enjoying a morning of game viewing, you will be able to go back to the lodge early and relax for the rest of the afternoon.

Overnight: Hwange Safari Lodge

After an early morning breakfast, you travel by road to Victoria Falls. Although a little outside of town, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers magnificent African accommodations in an unmatched environment. The lodge is situated high on a plateau, providing stunning views over the unfenced Zambezi National Park. The vulture feeding at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is also one of many highlights.

Overnight: Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

Due to its breadth of 1708 meters, Victoria Falls is regarded as the greatest waterfall in the world. On November 16, 1855, David Livingstone, a Scottish explorer and missionary, is thought to have been the first European to see Victoria Falls from what is now known as Livingstone Island, one of two land masses in the middle of the river, directly upstream from the falls close to the Zambian shore. Livingstone named the falls after the British monarch, Queen Victoria.

You can spend your free day shopping or participating in optional activities at Victoria Falls. Possible excursions could be:

  • A helicopter flight above Victoria Falls
  • The lion walks
  • Swimming at Devils Pool on the Zambian side of the falls
  • Day excursion to Botswana’s Chobe National Park
  • White water rafting
  • Bungee jumping from the Zambezi River Bridge
  • A community visit to an African community around 20 kilometres outside of town.

The dinner will be served at the Boma restaurant where you can witness The Boma - Dinner & Drum Show. The Boma - Dinner & Drum Show offers an unforgettable African dining experience incorporating Zimbabwean cuisine, traditional dance performances, and an interactive drumming show.
