Trek Kibale’s “Top of the World” hike, track chimpanzees, and immerse yourself in Bigodi’s vibrant culture. Continue to Bwindi to encounter endangered mountain gorillas, then on to Mgahinga for golden monkeys. Unwind with a canoe ride on Lake Mutanda before concluding in Kigali with visits to the Genocide Memorial and bustling local markets. Airport transfer to your prebooked Hotel in Entebbe City

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your prebooked hotel in Entebbe. Accommodation for “Day 00” is at the client’s own expense; however, we recommend the following partner hotels for your overnight stay.

Journey Time: Approx. 06 Hours

Pickup Time: 06:00AM. From your hotel in Entebbe, you will be met by our safari guide and depart for Kibale Forest, traveling via Fort Portal. Upon arrival at Kibale, enjoy lunch at the lodge, followed by a guided hike extending until sunset.

Late afternoon activity: Guided “Top of the World” Hike – Enjoy a scenic hike through lush gardens, banana, and coffee farms, as well as tea plantations. The trail offers stunning views of crater lakes, Kibale Forest, and the majestic Rwenzori Ranges. Please note: This activity is subject to change depending on your time of arrival.

You will have dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Meal Plan: Full Board (Lunch, Dinner, and Breakfast)

Pickup Time: 07:00AM. Early Breakfast at the lodge and transfer to the park for briefing.

Planned Activities: Chimpanzee Tracking Experience – The day begins with a briefing at 08:00AM, during which all necessary park formalities will be completed. Your primate tracking adventure will commence no later than 08:30AM and is expected to last approx. 1–2 hours, depending on sightings and trail conditions. For your comfort and safety, we recommend wearing sturdy hiking boots, long trousers, and a face mask. Don’t forget to apply insect repellent and carry a bottle of mineral water to stay hydrated during the trek. Lunch at the lodge.

In the afternoon visit and explore Bigodi Community: Enjoy an insightful experience of the local lifestyle with the Bigodi coffee experience, sample banana beer and traditional spirits, explore handmade arts and crafts, enjoy lively songs and dances, and discover the medicinal secrets of local herbs.

Afterwards, return to the lodge to refresh for dinner and overnights stay.

Journey time: Approx. 07 Hours

Pickup Time: 08:00AM. After breakfast at the lodge, check out and depart Kibale Forest for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Lunch will be arranged En-route at a restaurant. Arrival at Bwindi is expected in the late afternoon, where you will check in to your lodge, refresh, and stay at leisure.

Overnight: Four Gorillas Lodge
Meal Plan: Half Board (Dinner and Breakfast)

Pickup Time: 06:30AM. Early breakfast and be handed a lunchbox with mineral water to put in your backpack then to the park |Dinner is arranged at your lodge.

The day’s main Activity: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Experience – After completing the necessary park formalities, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure tracking the endangered mountain gorillas. Upon locating the gorillas, you will have 1 to 2 hours to observe, photograph, and appreciate these gentle apes. During the trek, your experienced ranger guide will select a safe spot for a picnic lunch, after which you may continue with the trek or return to the lodge, depending on conditions. For your safety and comfort, we recommend wearing sturdy hiking shoes, trousers, long-sleeved shirts, gloves, a face mask, and bring insect repellent plus sufficient drinking water.

Optional Activity (At 30$ pp): Batwa Cultural Trail.

Meal Plan: Full Board (Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch)

Journey time: Approx. 04 Hours

Pickup Time: 06:00AM. Early breakfast and check-out. Thereafter transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for the golden monkey trek – a perfect way to start your day! 

Planned Activities:

Mgahinga Golden Monkey Trek – After a morning briefing, set off on your exciting golden monkey trek at 08:30AM. Trek through the lush rainforest on a moderate trail to reach the playful golden monkeys, who inhabit the lower bamboo areas. Spend approximately 1–2 hours observing, photographing, and enjoying the antics of these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. Wear hiking shoes, long sleeves, trousers, carry a backpack, an insect repellent, drinking water, a face mask, may hire a porter for your backpack.

Transfer to Cheba’s Point for Lake Mutanda Boat Cruise. Embark on a 2-hour scenic boat cruise on Lake Mutanda, exploring its charming islands! Accompanied by a local guide, learn about the surrounding communities, spot a variety of bird species and otters, and enjoy breathtaking views of the volcanoes that frame the lake. After the cruise, reunite with your guide and transfer to Chameleon Hill Lodge for lunch.

Following your activities, you will be transferred to Kigali, where you will spend the night.

Journey Time: Less 1 Hour  

Pickup Time: 07:00AM. Early breakfast at the hotel and prepare to be dropped-off at Kigali Airport for your onward flight. If you require a dayroom, it can be arranged for an extra fee until 06:00PM Rwanda Time.

Kigali City Sightseeing Tour: For those with later departures, enhance your morning with a sightseeing tour of Kigali City. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s history and resilience. Continue to explore a local market, where you can experience the vibrant culture, interact with local vendors, and shop for handcrafted souvenirs.
