Arrival in Mombasa

On arrival at the airport, our representative will pick you up from the airport. Check in at the hotel and rest for the night.

Day 2 :

Airport Transfer to Lamu Island

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the Malindi airport for your transfer to Lamu Island.

On arrival in Lamu, you will be transferred to the hotel for recuperation after the journey.

Day 3 :

Lamu Old Town Walking Tour

The essential introduction to Lamu's living heritage. With no cars, the only way to explore is on foot. A guide will lead you through the narrow, maze-like streets, past bustling markets, grand Swahili merchant houses with carved doors, and ancient mosques. You'll visit the Lamu Museum and the Swahili House Museum to understand daily life, and likely finish at the seafront promenade to watch dhow activity. It's a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells that connects you directly to centuries of Swahili culture.

Dhow Trip to Shela Village & Sandbanks. This is the iconic, relaxing Lamu experience. You board a traditional wooden sailing dhow with cushions and a canopy. You'll sail peacefully along the coastline, passing the waterfront of Lamu Town, to reach the vast, empty sandbanks that appear at low tide. Here, you can swim in crystal-clear, waist-deep water and stroll on the pristine sand. The trip usually includes a stop at Shela Village to see its famous beach and possibly climb the dunes. It's pure, slow-paced island bliss.
