This private or small-group journey begins with a night in Arusha before venturing into Tarangire National Park for immersive wildlife encounters and a sunrise hot air balloon safari. Continue to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, then on to the iconic Serengeti (Central and North) for world-class game viewing. Fly onward to Rwanda to explore Kigali and conquer Mount Bisoke, before crossing into Uganda for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The journey concludes with a boat cruise and game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, and enriching cultural encounters in Bigodi Village.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly received by your expert driver-guide and transferred privately to your hotel in Arusha City. The remainder of the day is reserved for rest and relaxation with no scheduled activities.

Pickup Time: 07:00AM. After breakfast and hotel check-out, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in and have your luggage deposited at the lodge.

Picnic lunchboxes will be provided for your later meal within the park. Embark on a full-day privately guided safari, exploring Tarangire’s vast landscapes and observing its impressive elephant herds, as well as diverse wildlife and bird species at sunset. |Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third largest at 2,600 sq. km, lies between the Masai Steppe and the Great Rift Valley. The Tarangire River, the park’s vital water source during the dry season, supports the highest elephant population in northern Tanzania, with over 300 elephants often seen daily. The park is renowned for its ancient baobab trees, diverse wildlife—including impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species—and predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and occasional wild dogs. It also hosts over 545 bird species!

Return to the lodge in the evening to refresh and enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Pickup Time: 06:00AM. Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge and depart Tarangire for Ngorongoro Crater for your full-day exploration. Top Experiences at Ngorongoro: Begin with a guided game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, home to diverse wildlife including the black rhinos and lions.  Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater rim, visit Olduvai Gorge and Museum, then unwind with a sundowner before dinner and on overnight stay at your lodge.  

Recommended Optional Activity/costs 560$ pp. (Pickup at 04:00AM): Balloon Safari and Bush Breakfast. Arrive at the launch site by 06:00Hrs for a safety briefing before taking off on a sunrise balloon flight over Tarangire National Park. Soar above the Tarangire River, swamps, valleys, and iconic baobab trees, observing herds of elephants and a variety of wildlife and bird species. After landing, enjoy an African bush breakfast.

In the evening, check in at your lodge and unwind at leisure.

Pick-up Time: 06:30AM. Start the day with an early breakfast at the lodge before setting out on a full-day game drive in Central Serengeti National Park.

A picnic lunch will be provided for you to enjoy en route. Your full-day safari experience begins with a transfer from Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti, following the route of the Great Migration—one of the most remarkable wildlife spectacles on Earth. Along the journey, take in dramatic landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and unforgettable wildlife encounters. Sightings may include lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs, hyenas, and a wide array of bird species. Conclude the day with a scenic sundowner before continuing to your camp for the evening.

Extending your safari to this region enhances your opportunity to witness the Great Migration alongside abundant wildlife and diverse bird species. Upon arrival, proceed to check-in for your connecting flight to Rwanda via Kigali Int. Airport.

On arrival in Kigali, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Please note that dinner will be at your own expense.

Pick-up Time: 08:30AM. After an early breakfast at the hotel, embark on a guided tour of Kigali City. Explore the key highlights of Kigali City: This Kigali excursion offers an authentic experience of Rwanda’s scenic, hilly capital. Highlights include visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Mount Kigali, and a local Market. Following the tour, depart for Volcanoes National Park, where lunch will be served upon arrival (subject to change).

Pickup Time: 05:00AM. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park for a briefing ahead of the day’s main hike. A packed lunch will be provided by the lodge.

Planned Activity:

Mount Bisoke Climb – Arrive at the park by 06:30Hrs for a briefing and guide allocation before beginning the guided hike up Mount Bisoke (3,711m). This active volcano, part of the Virunga Range, offers a scenic trek to a crater lake at the summit, typically taking around six hours round-trip. Wildlife sightings may include buffalo, elephants, monkeys, and various bird species, with occasional views of mountain gorillas and Dian Fossey’s tomb along the route. Recommended gear includes hiking boots, long clothing, insect repellent, a raincoat, and water. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Pickup at 06:00Hrs. After an early breakfast at the lodge, transfer across the Cyanika Border to the picturesque Lake Mutanda for a culturally immersive experience.

Today’s Excursion: Rural Uganda ExperienceCanoe Ride and Cultural Immersion. Experience authentic Ugandan culture and cuisine, beginning with a traditional dugout canoe ride across Chameleon Bay to visit a local family. Participate in a guided tour of their crop fields, where you will help harvest seasonal produce such as potatoes, pumpkins, and other organic staples. Join your hosts in preparing a traditional Ugandan lunch using the freshly gathered ingredients. In the late afternoon, take a leisurely stroll through the village, with visits to the local trading center, school, and surrounding homesteads.  

Afterwards, proceed to your lodge for check-in and stay at leisure.

Pickup Time: 06:30AM. Early breakfast, followed by receiving a packed lunch and mineral water to carry in your backpack before heading to the park.

Signature adventure experience of the day: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Experience –After park formalities and briefing, embark on a guided trek through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to locate endangered mountain gorillas. The trek duration varies based on gorilla location and terrain. Once found, spend 1 to 2 hours observing and photographing the gorillas, including the silverback, while following safety guidelines. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot during the trek before returning to the lodge. Recommended gear includes hiking shoes, face mask, gloves, long-sleeved clothing, insect repellent, and sufficient water.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure. You may choose to participate in the optional Batwa Cultural Trail, available at an additional cost of $30 per person.

Pickup Time: 07:00AM. Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge followed by check-out. Depart Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your Lodge. The afternoon includes a boat cruise to explore the park’s diverse bird wildlife and animals. Afternoon Activity: Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise–Following lunch, embark on a captivating boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a prime opportunity to observe a diverse array of bird species including African fish eagles, pelicans, Hammerkop, egrets, African fin-foot, pied kingfishers, marabou storks, vultures, and kites. The cruise also offers excellent wildlife viewing, with frequent sightings of hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, crocodiles, waterbucks, and other animals gathering at the water’s edge to drink and cool off. Additionally, the journey provides a glimpse of the traditional fishing villages that line the shores. Following the boat cruise, visit and explore the traditional salt works at Lake Katwe.

Thereafter, proceed to the lodge for check-in and time to refresh before dinner.

Pick-up Time: 06:30AM. Begin your day with an early breakfast, followed by a sunrise game drive to explore the park’s diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. Encounter a variety of bird species and animals including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, waterbucks, Kob, and warthogs. Enjoy picturesque views of the crater lakes, such as Nyamunuka—known for its animal clinic—and Munyanyange, a renowned bird sanctuary.

Following the morning safari, transfer to Kibale Forest for an afternoon cultural visit |Traditional lunch at Tinka’s Homestead and a guided cultural visit. Top afternoon Activity: Bigodi Cultural Visit – Participate in a range of cultural activities including coffee tasting, sampling traditional banana beer and local spirits, exploring indigenous arts and crafts, experiencing cultural songs and dances, and learning about the medicinal uses of local herbs. From Bigodi, transfer to the lodge for check-in and time to refresh before dinner.

Guided Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Pickup Time: 07:00AM. Early breakfast at the lodge and transfer to the park for briefing.

Today’s primate trek: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest – The chimpanzee tracking experience begins with a mandatory briefing at 08:00AM, followed by a guided trek starting around 08:30AM. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend 1–2 hours observing their natural behaviour from a safe distance. Trek duration varies based on their location. Recommended items include hiking shoes, face mask, gaiters, insect repellent, rain jacket, long-sleeved shirt, long trousers, and binoculars. Following the chimpanzee trek, return to your lodge for lunch. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, with no further activities scheduled.
