Upon arrival at Entebbe Int. Airport and completing immigration procedures; meet our dedicated safari guide. Get briefed and transfer to the hotel. Get to the hotel, check-in with the rest of this day at leisure.

Pickup Time: 06:00AM. Early breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Thereafter be dropped off at the Airport for a flight to Kasese, with a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Arrive for a traditional lunch at Tinka’s Homestead followed by chimp trekking.

After lunch go Chimpanzee Tracking Get to the park at exactly 02:00PM for briefing. Chimpanzee Tracking Experience: Kibale’s most popular activity is the Kanyanchu Primate Walk, with the most sought after on this trail being the chimps. Kanyanchu’s chimps have been tracked since 1993 and the chances of locating them are excellent!  Your guided primate trek starts at 02:00PM and will last between 1 – 2 hours once you encounter the chimps in their natural habitat. The habituated groups are accustomed to human presence; some have been observed for over 25 years, and the chances of locating stand at 95%. Most prominent among Kibale’s primates is a large population of chimps (about 1,500 individuals). The biodiversity of Kibale comprises other wildlife – over 120 mammals, with several primates like baboons, Ugandan Mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, de brazza’s monkey, colobus monkeys, blue monkeys commonly spotted, with 370 bird species including 23 Albertine Rift endemics. Wear hiking boots, a face mask, trousers, hand gloves, long-sleeved shirt, an insect repellent with sufficient drinking water.

After chimp tracking, transfer to the lodge and check-in to refresh and enjoy your dinner at leisure – it is your free time for personal engagements.

Pickup Time: 07:00AM. Today wake up to an early breakfast at the lodge, followed by a check-out. You will immediately set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Lunch at a restaurant). Arrive late afternoon – to the lodge and check-in and refresh for dinner.

Meal Plan: Full Board (Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch)

Pickup Time: 06:30AM. After an early breakfast you will be handed a lunchbox and mineral water to keep in your backpack, then proceed to the park office for briefing.

Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Experience – Upon completing your park formalities, you will embark onto a once in a life time experience of tracking the endangered mountain gorillas. Once you meet the gorillas on a tracking adventure, you will be allowed between 1 to 2 hours watching and photographing the gentle apes including the silverback. This is perhaps one of the most breath-taking wildlife experience on earth!!! On close encounter, you will stare at each other blankly not knowing who to break the long silence first. These massive primates are extremely rare, with less than 700 living today, but you will get within meters for stunning photography, but considering all the necessary safety measures. Gorilla tracking may be fairly strenuous lasting approximately an hour at a relatively high altitude. During the trek, your ranger guide will identify a safe spot for your picnic lunch after which you will proceed with the trek or back to the lodge (Subject to change). Wear hiking boots, a face mask, trousers, hand gloves, long-sleeved shirt, an insect repellent with sufficient water. Optional Activity (at 30$pp.): Batwa Cultural Trail. Return to the lodge and enjoy the rest of this afternoon at leisure. Dinner included.

Flight Duration: Approx. 2 Hours

Early breakfast at the lodge and check-out. Thereafter be dropped off at the airstrip to check-in for your domestic flight to Entebbe – Estimated departure time: 08:30Hrs | Estimated arrival time: 11:25AM. Arrive at Entebbe and proceed to check-in for your onward flight; based on your flight schedule. In case you have a later flight, you may request for a dayroom with transfers and an optional excursion to keep you engaged.

Optional Activity: Mabamba Shoebill Tour – Mabamba is listed by Ramsar as a wetland of international importance. The wetland can be accessed by a motorized canoe; located on the North West of Entebbe Peninsular, along the edge of Lake Victoria and got its name from the local fishermen due to a huge quantity of lungfish “Mamba”, the most sought-after fish by fishermen as well as a favourite food for the shoebill.It is home to endangered bird species like the Shoebill stork and the blue swallow, with over 260 bird species found here such as: Pallid harrier, Black kite, Papyrus Gonolek, Blue swallow, White-winged warbler, Goliath heron, Kingfishers and more endemics.
