Destination: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

This tailored safari started with an overnight in Nairobi then they went on an adventure of Masai Mara National Reserve (Wildlife sightings, Sundowner, Bush breakfast, and Cultural visits). After another 2 nights of fun, they headed off to Lake Naivasha’s iconic Crescent Island. They had a boat cruise and walking safari amid grazers. The adventure was crowned with a Kenyan Coffee Experience and the Nairobi City Excursion.

Trip Itinerary

Journey time: Less 40 Minutes

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will have a meet and greet by our dedicated safari guides. Be briefed and transfer to your hotel to check-in and refresh.

Overnight: Sarova Stanley Hotel Nairobi – or similar

Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast

Journey time: Approx. 05 Hours

Pick-up Time: 07:00AM. Early breakfast and departure to Masai Mara National Reserve. En-route Activity: Stopover at the Great Rift Valley ViewpointTake a break at the lookout to admire the splendid vistas of the rift valley; with its dramatic escarpments, lush greenery with a view of Mt. Longonot. Continue to Masai Mara: Arriving to check-in and have lunch before the afternoon engagements.

Late afternoon: Visit the Masai Cultural Bomas – This is your moment to explore more about one of Africa’s most popular tribes! The Masai are a pastoralist group (with Nilotic origins) inhabiting some parts of Kenya and northern Tanzania. Get to know about their traditional lifestyle: dressing style, diet, housing (Masai Manyattas) and authentic arts as well as the Moran worriers. Wind-up with an African Sundowner Treat – Arrive at the sundowner site earlier to catch the magical golden-hour (sunset). This is a special moment to experience the sun on its way down the horizon in an African Wilderness. Whilst onsite; be served juice/soft drinks, beer and/or local wines, fruits, some savoury/dry snacks. Return to the lodge late evening to refresh for dinner.

Pickup Time: 06:30AM. Early breakfast and go for a full day guided safari experience.
This safari is set at a slower pace to maximize your opportunities for game viewing; it includes an extension to the legendary Mara River – An iconic venue where the seasonal Wildebeest Migration occurs. Do not forget a picture at the Kenya–Tanzania boundary which connects Masai Mara to the vast Serengeti Plains. Chance Falling, and it happens to be the Migration Season; you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration (Natural Wonder of the World), where millions of Wildebeests and Zebras crossover from the Serengeti Plains into Masai Mara. This famous animal event also features the “Big-Five” (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino) with several Antelopes, Giraffe Towers and numerous Birds. The expertise of our safari guides will maximize your chances of seeing all the splendours of Masai Mara and beyond! You will enjoy your Bush Picnic Lunch within the park – This is the best time feel the savannah breeze amid stunning views.

Return to the lodge in the evening to refresh for dinner and overnight.

Journey Time: Approx. 03 Hours 

Pick-up time: 07:00AM. Breakfast at the lodge and check-out. Thereafter, depart Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha with a stopover at a curio market to lookout for a few souvenirs. Arrive and take a Boat Trip to Crescent Island – Lake Naivasha is an ideal place for an amazing boat experience, with wide open waters, fantastic surrounding scenery and plenty of sights to explore. This boat trip offers an opportunity to sight plenty of birdlife (African Fish Eagle, Pelicans, Kingfishers, Herons, Jacanas, Hammerkop) and grazers up close. Off the Boat, and take a Walking Tour of Crescent Island: This Island is a haven of peace and tranquillity! The island is perfect for Guided nature walks, Game viewing and Breath-taking views: It was once a scene for the popular film “Out of Africa” by Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. Whilst on your walking safari, get close to the giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo and spot a variety of birds.

From Crescent Island: Proceed to the lodge and check-in for lunch at leisure.    

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort – or similar

Meal Plan: Full Board (Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast)

Journey Time: 02 – 03 Hours        

Pick-up Time: 08:30AM. Early breakfast and check-out to depart Naivasha back to Nairobi City. The day starts with a few activities plus lunch on the coffee farm.

Today’s Planned Activities:

The Kenya’ Finest Coffee Experience – Karunguru Coffee Farm opens at 11:00AM for a day visit. Established the Glassfords (A British Family), the farm is one of Kenya’s oldest with its first ever coffee crop planted as early as 1928, later sold to the Kariithis (Kenyan Family) in 1974 and transformed from a 300 to a 500-acre coffee farm and it is still operational. Your farm engagements include: A guided walk in the lush coffee fields |Coffee tasting experience |Explore the coffee process from seedling, large-scale grading, roasting to your cup |Explore farm products (Fine ground coffee, Jam, Honey & Coffee Soap). Enjoy a Buffet Lunch at the farm in a 1928 Ballroom. Continue to Nairobi City.

In Nairobi, start with a tour of Nairobi National Museum – The museum was opened on 22/09/1930; and rebranded to the National Museum of Kenya (1963) after Kenya’s independence; later to Nairobi National Museum (2008). Explore the museum’s galleries and artefacts which depict Kenya’s historical background.

Visit the Giraffe Centre – Est. 1979 by Betty and Jock Leslie Melville. This sanctuary is aimed at conserving the critically endangered Rothschild Giraffes! This an opportunity to interact and handfeed pellets to the Giraffes; all done from a raised wooden view deck.

Proceed to Tamarind Brasserie Restaurant for a Farewell Dinner: Tamarind is a cozy Garden Restaurant in Karen–Nairobi, known for its splendid outdoor dining experience! Savour the restaurant’s delicious menus which include seafood, African, continental meals and BBQ's. You will be served a full 3-Course dinner with a soft drink.

At 19:00Hrs; transfer to the Airport (JKIA) for your flight.
