This Uganda safari will offer you an opportunity to explore all the primates of Uganda, with a glimpse at the amazing tree-climbing lions of Ishasha sector to the Home of mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, after a game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Depart for Kampala after a gorilla tracking experience and have a quick tour of the City to its iconic landmarks with souvenir shopping at the largest craft market.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by our Driver guide who will transfer to your pre-booked hotel in either Kampala City.

After an early breakfast, at 6AM start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You will have a lunch stopover in Fort Portal. Thereafter, visit Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves located 5 KM West of Fort Portal. They are of strong cultural significance to the people of Toro. While here you may explore both the caves, nearby lake and waterfall.
Continue to Kibale National Park which is home to the highest primate population in Africa. Although the highlight of the park is the habituated chimpanzees, the treetops are alive with all manner of monkeys including: red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, grey-cheeked Mangabey, red colobus with colobus monkeys sighted here. When you’re not searching for monkeys there are over 300 bird species and an incredible 250 species of butterfly to keep you busy.

On this day you will take part in Chimpanzee tracking for an adventurous experience of the chimps plus many more primates which include but not limited to; Ugandan Mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, de brazza’s monkey, red colobus monkey, black and white colobus monkey, blue monkeys, baboons and many more varied types of primates.
After chimp trekking, visit Tinka’s Homestead for an authentic Ugandan lunch.
After lunch go for Bigodi Community Tour – What to expect: Bigodi coffee experience, Taste banana beer and local vodka, Admire local arts and crafts + souvenir shopping, Cultural songs and dances with birding in the swamp.

Journey time: 2 – 3 Hours
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast then go explore the highlights of this wonderful national park. Start with a game drive; expect to see a variety of flora and fauna. Enjoy a scenic view of several crater lakes like Nyamunuka – medicinal to the animals and Munyanyange – frequented by flamingos. Proceed to Lake Katwe mingle with the locals, learn about traditional salt mining and the local lifestyle. Thereafter, return to the lodge for lunch and refreshment, warming up for a boat cruise.
Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise; cruising along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Edward is a wildlife haven. While on the boat you will spot a number of birds like; the African fish eagle, pelicans, flamingos, Hammerkop, egrets, the African fin foot, pied kingfishers, marabou storks, vultures, kites and many more. The common animals are Elephants, hippos, buffalos, warthogs, crocodiles, waterbucks and more as most of them visit to water and cool off.
Return to the lodge and spend the evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast depart for Bwindi Impenetrable forest reputable for hosting the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Bwindi was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994 with a forest covering 32,000 hectares.
Driving through the southern route via Ishasha gives you an opportunity to spot the Tree climbing lions. Have at lunch at Ishasha Jungle Lodge and carry on with your journey to Bwindi. Arrive at your pre-arranged accommodation and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast, you will be handed a lunchbox and mineral water to put in your backpack. Head to the park headquarters for briefing which starts at exactly 8:00am. After briefing, Gorilla Tracking will commence. It is a very captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi. Gorilla Tracking starts at 8:30 am and can last from a few hours to a whole day based on the previous location of the gorillas.
During the trek, your ranger guide will identify a safe and scenic spot where you can settle for a picnic lunch after which you will proceed with the Trek. (Subject to change)
Optional Activity at 30$: Guided Village Walk + Batwa – In the late afternoon after a successful Gorilla Trek, go for Batwa cultural and community tour; learn about their way of life including hunting skills, herbal medicines, child upbringing, preparing of traditional food and drinks which will be crowned with an energetic traditional music and dance.

Journey Time: 9-10 Hours
You will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and start your journey to Entebbe via Mbarara and Masaka. After several hours of driving, make a stopover at the Equator for a photo opportunity and some demonstrations. This doubles as a lunch break plus souvenir shopping.

Journey Time: 45Min – 1 Hour
Enjoy a hearty breakfast then leave the hotel at 8:30AM for a half day tour of Kampala city visiting highlights of the city such as Buganda palace, Uganda museum, Nakasero market, historical monuments, Kampala’s largest craft village and a few temples.
After touring (based on flight schedule), transfer to EBB and check-in for onward departure.
