The drive from Entebbe/ Kampala- Bwindi is long but very scenic. This trip is ideal for travellers who love road trips. It has a gorilla trek, cultural /community tours plus nature walks. It is great as an add on tour after seeing the rest of East Africa.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a member of our team for a meet & greet and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have a brief tour of Entebbe.

Today you will have an early breakfast and embark on your journey to Bwindi at exactly 7:00am. Your guide will met you and brief you on the trip ahead. This is a long but scenic journey perfect for lovers of road trips. It is also the perfect way to see rural Uganda.
You will stop over in Mbarara for lunch and proceed on your journey to Bwindi.
On arrival, check in and recuperate from the long drive in preparation for the gorilla trek.

Breakfast starts at 06:00 hrs depending on the location of your gorilla trek. You will also have a lunch box handed to you before driving to the park headquarters for briefing.
After a long trek in the forest, you will spend a full hour watching, photographing & learning more about the giant apes limited to only Uganda, Rwanda & Democratic Republic of Congo.
Birding is also among the activities, as the park is home to over 348 bird species (African green broadbill, Shelley’s crimson & more), together with 220 butterfly species awaiting your visit. Thereafter return to the hotel for lunch, with optional activities in the evening.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is not a place you dip in for just gorilla trekking. It's about total immersion and turning around your lifestyle in the purest yet most pristine of surroundings.
This trail is highly recommendable for the kind of traveller who wants to see sights and sounds of the forest without going through hell. It is well developed and offers a gentle hiking experience that even kids love. It starts from Buhoma along the River Ivi-Nkuringo trail. It climaxes at refreshing powerful waterfall that cascades over a 33 meter high slope. At its floor, you will find lots of ponds with crystal clear water where you can have a refreshing swim.
Thereafter, visit a local school and later Ride for a woman for some weaving lessons, buy souvenirs and get entertained by the local women.

After an early breakfast, depart Bwindi by road via Kampala. You will have a brief stopover at the equator for a photo session and some demonstrations + lunch.
